Lassen County Parole or Probation
Post-release supervision is not one public list. In Lassen County, a person released from the county jail may be on formal probation, mandatory supervision, Post Release Community Supervision, diversion, or pretrial supervision through Lassen County Probation Department. A person released from a California state prison, including High Desert State Prison, may be on state parole through CDCR Division of Adult Parole Operations. The same word "released" can therefore point to two different agencies.

Lassen County Supervision Office
Lassen County Probation is not a jail roster and does not replace the court record. It is still one of the main post-release sources for local cases because probation staff supervise people in the community, make reports to the court, track compliance, and respond to violations. The annual report gives a local scale for this work: at the end of FY 24/25, Lassen reported 182 adults on active supervision, including 121 on formal probation, 36 on PRCS, 5 on mandatory supervision, 3 on diversion, and 10 on pretrial services.

For state parole, the local probation office is not the same agency. CDCR DAPO handles adult parole after state-prison release. A person who left High Desert State Prison may report in a county other than Lassen if parole residence and case planning send them elsewhere. Commitment county, county of last legal residence, detainers, and approved residence can all matter.
CDCR DAPO and BPH Records
The CDCR DAPO page is the statewide parole operations path. It covers parole offices, conditions, requirements, parole services, and wanted sex offender material. It does not prove that an ordinary Lassen County jail defendant is on parole. Use it when the release came from CDCR custody or when the court and offender-search record show a state-prison sentence.
BPH hearing schedules and BPH results matter for hearing-eligible state prisoners. BPH schedules identify hearing date, time, location, and whether the hearing is in person or by video. Lassen County Warrants and Violations
Supervision terms can include reporting, treatment, residence rules, restitution, search terms, no-contact orders, court appearances, or travel limits. The terms come from the sentencing court, probation, parole, or a release plan. A violation does not always mean a new criminal conviction. It may mean the person missed a report date, failed to comply with a term, picked up a new arrest, or had a hold placed while the agency reviews the case.
Lassen has a local wrinkle: CitizenRIMS configuration shows the public warrants module is disabled. That means the sheriff portal should not be treated as a general public warrant list. Lassen Probation's FY 24/25 report makes the supervision picture more concrete. The department described updated case planning tied to supervision requirements, social determinants of health, unified case management, and continuity before and after release from custody. That matters because a released person may have no current jail listing but still be in an active county case plan.
PRCS and mandatory supervision are especially important for released-inmate research. They sit between custody and complete discharge. A person may be living in the community, reporting locally, and still subject to court or probation action if terms are broken. The release record, court docket, and probation office each answer a different part of that status.
How Lassen Supervision Ends
Supervision ends through discharge, expiration of the term, court order, successful completion, revocation, transfer, or another agency action. County probation completion is usually reflected in the Lassen Superior Court case and probation record. State parole discharge is a CDCR matter. If a person was released from FCI Herlong, BOP release status does not prove California parole or county probation.
